Lace up your skates! Cornwall's only ice rink will return to the Eden Project for the 2025/26 winter season on 18 October 2025.

Ice skating sessions are currently available to book until 2 November 2025, and more tickets for dates until February 2026 will be released closer to the time. Planning for Christmas? Sign-up to be the first to hear when Christmas tickets go on sale.

Choose a session to suit you

As well as an ice skating ticket, skaters also need a valid form of Eden admission and a pre-booked timed entry slot to Eden that is at least 30 minutes earlier than the start of your skating session. If you are a resident of Cornwall or Devon you can save up to 45% on admission with a Locals' Pass.

Useful information

Please arrive at the ice rink at least 15 minutes before your booked session to collect your skates
Bring gloves and a hat in case you get chilly, and an extra thick pair of socks to wear with your skates for comfort
We have limited storage: we can store a small bag for you during your skate, but you will need to leave bulky items such as coats, large bags and pushchairs rink-side at your own risk
Kids' penguin aids have a height limit of 120cm, and snowman aids are for kids over 120cm and for those with accessible needs
Additional general skating sessions are sometimes added last minute on weekdays during term time, so continue to check for last minute availability

Skate sizes start at child's size 8 (EU 25) and go up to adult's size 15 (EU 50).

We offer bob skates for toddlers in child's sizes 5-10 which fit over shoes. However, for smaller sizes in particular, suitability depends on the style of the shoe.

Socks must be worn with skates and we do advise that an extra pair of socks is worn for comfort.

We highly recommend that all skating aids are pre-booked online, particularly at weekends and during school holidays to avoid disappointment. You will get the option to add skating aids during the booking process, if they are available.

For our penguin aids, the user needs to be able to walk and reach the handle; the maximum height for use is 120cm (approx. 3’11”) without skates on.

Our snowmen aids are exclusively for those who are taller than the 120cm height permitted for penguins, or for those with accessible needs.

Please note, there are no refunds or part-refunds if a skating aid is not used or is only used for part of the session. Bookings are non-refundable. If the skating aid/s are not collected within 20 minutes of the start of the session, we reserve the right to make them available for resale and the reservation will be lost.

Children aged 14 years and over do not need to be accompanied.

Children aged 8-13 years must have a parent or guardian available either on the ice or around the rink.

Children aged 7 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the ice, except during skating lessons. We advise 1-on-1 supervision for children less than 5 years of age.

Yes – the Ice Rink Café will be open over weekends and during local school holidays, serving responsibly sourced burgers, fries, delicious cakes and hot and cold drinks. Find out more about food and drink at Eden here.

Don’t forget to bring a reusable cup with you and we'll give you 30p off your hot drink. We do not provide single-use cups, but you can borrow one of our reusable cups for a refundable deposit of £2.50.
