Go Wild with Beano at Eden!

Inspired by alternative travel and Dennis' skate board, come and have a go on our skate ramps! Choose a skateboard or a scooter and show off your eco-friendly transport skills on our skate ramps. There is even something for little ones.

Please note that scooters, skateboards and roller skates are not permitted on site and will be provided.

Where: The Arena, 10am–5.30pm

*For safety reasons this activity will be closed in wet weather.

Please note that appropriate footwear must be worn during this activity and flip flops are not permitted.

Step inside the puzzle room to discover the travel capsule of CO₂-Zilla. Take on the challenge and work together to help reduce CO₂ and weaken the threat.

Make your mark and have your say. What are you passionate about? What would you like to see change? Add your voice and help us create a giant wall of placard pledges.

How much methane is created by cows and can we stop it? Work together with our Cow Methane game to see if you can stop the cows from producing methane - from both ends!

Discover the world of pollination and how we can help it. Take part in four challenges within one game. Find the bees, build a giant bug hotel, discover what plants are the right ones to go in your garden and finally help rewild an area of land with giant sling shots.

Inspired by the need to challenge fast fashion. Join textile artists to help embellish old clothes or make a friendship bracelet out of old yarn. 

This activity is included in admission but pre-booking at the Tipi is advisable.

Join iconic Beano illustrator, Nigel Parkinson, right here at Eden for two unmissable workshops. 

With a career spanning more than 42 years, Nigel’s work is unmistakable. He has drawn Dennis, Gnasher and many other Beano characters for the weekly comic – and summer and winter annuals and specials. The prolific illustrator is also known for drawing other classic comics, including The Dandy, Thunderbirds, Stingray and Grange Hill.

Come and see Nigel's legendary drawing skills and learn a few tricks of the trade yourself!

Join Manga Artist Keith Sparrow for the Titans of Eden Manga Drawing Workshop.

Learn how to turn some of the weird and wonderful plants that grow at Eden into Manga characters and take them on an adventure.

Want to bring your own version of Beanotown to life on paper? Join illustrator Laura Hole for an inspiring illustration workshop where you’ll learn how to level up your doodles and create your own epic comic strip about climate change.

When: Wednesday 3 August

Join Ed Stockham for a Comic Showdown. Learn how to design your own character and bring it to life with facial expressions, speech bubbles, movement and drawn sound effects. Battle your character with others and discover how their story evolves.

When: Wednesday 10 August and Wednesday 17 August.

Join Illustrator Jack Teagle in the Guardians of Eden – Design a Character Workshop. 

Create a comic character, guardian, protector or cultivator of the natural world. 

Come up with ideas for characters and use them in a narrative or comic strip to tackle various issues.
