Active Travel Walking Events

To support and inspire you in thinking about active travel – whether that’s walking, cycling or horseriding – we’re running local walking events to support people in making daily travel more physically active.

Why get involved?

Many people enjoy being active for leisure, but don’t always consider means like walking or cycling as modes of transport. In fact, two thirds of car journeys in Cornwall are less than five miles long, which means more people are choosing to drive to work, school and other short distance locations, rather than using the time to be active.

Being active whilst getting from A to B is a great way to increase daily activity levels, whilst having a positive impact on health and wellbeing. It can also significantly reduce your carbon footprint and travel costs – it’s good for people and the planet.

Through our Active Travel Walking Events, you’ll discover a network of footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways that connect the Eden Project to neighbouring communities. You'll also meet like-minded people and get the chance to immerse yourself in nature.

We’d love for you to become more familiar with these routes and be inspired to travel actively.
