The English modern country-pop duo, namely twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas from Hampshire, are special guests at The Script Session on September 17.

They fulfilled a three-album deal by the age of 25 and became the UK’s first country act to reach Number One.  Their fourth album, Invitation, was written and recorded entirely independently, with every decision taken by the duo.

Special guests at the Ben Howard Session on September 11 are Femmes de la Mer, a 15-strong crew hailing from across Cornwall. Each individual member brings a unique sound to the group, yet it is their blend of acapella harmonies that has gained them recognition among the folk and sea shanty communities.

Led by musical director Claire Ingleheart, this all-female group sing traditional shanties alongside original material and some alternative takes on ballads of the sea. Their narrative encompasses songs of love, loss and the feisty women of Cornwall.

The Ultra Violets, the romantic indie pop quintet from West Cornwall, are special guests at the McFly Session on September 12.

Formed in 2020, The Ultra Violets are Perran Nicholls (Vocals/Guitar), Marc Willoughby (Guitar/Vocals), Adam Knuckey (Bass), Stuart Morrell (Keys/Vocals) and Finn Hellier (Drums).

Their debut single Romance, mixed by Dave Sanderson (Reverend And The Makers producer), is a story of love between two people and gained airplay on Radio X and Amazing Radio.

Special guests at the Royal Blood Session on September 14 are Liverpool trio The Mysterines.

The Mysterines are Lia Metcalfe (vocals and guitar), George Favager (bass) and Chrissy Moore (drums). They released the single In My Head earlier this year, following the release of their second EP Love’s Not Enough in 2020.

Joining IDLES at the Sessions on September 18 are Black Honey, a four-piece indie rock band formed in Brighton. They released their blockbuster second album Written & Directed in March 2021 to great acclaim.

Also on the bill are Spectres – a noise rock band from Bristol who over three albums and countless other releases have cemented their reputation as one of the UK’s most visceral and uncompromising acts.

Appearing at the Snow Patrol Session on September 16 is Lucy Blue, a singer-songwriter and producer from Dublin, Ireland, who builds unique musical worlds from wide-ranging influences covering the likes of Frank Ocean and PJ Harvey.

Rita Broe, Managing Director of Eden Sessions Ltd, said: “As the Sessions returns with a bang after two years away, we’re thrilled to offer such a great line-up, not just our acclaimed headliners but all the top talent from Cornwall and beyond that will be gracing our stage.”

A very limited number of tickets are available for all the 2021 Sessions except for the Snow Patrol show which is sold out.
