The show will mark the second time Madness have played at the Eden Sessions, having previously made the iconic Biomes their House of Fun for a sold-out performance in 2017.

Madness are one of the most successful British pop groups of all time. They have had 15 singles in the UK top ten, including One Step Beyond, My Girl, and Baggy Trousers, and one UK number one single, House of Fun.

Hailing from Kentish Town in London and fronted by Graham “Suggs” McPherson, they became a hit band of the late 1970s and early 1980s two tone ska revival.

In November 2023, the band released their twelfth studio album, Theatre of the Absurd Presents C'est la Vie. The album marked their first studio release in seven years and became Madness's first ever number one studio album in the UK.

Theatre of the Absurd Presents C’est la Vie is the band's inaugural foray into self-producing, working alongside engineer and mixer Matt Galsbey (Ed Sheeran, Maisie Peters, Rag’N’Bone Man).

Rita Broe, managing director of the Eden Sessions, said: “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Madness back to the Eden Sessions next summer. Their last show here in 2017 was a huge success and a fantastic night of entertainment and we can’t wait to see what the band have in store for us this time around.

“So, dust off those Baggy Trousers and prepare for a fabulous night of music and showmanship from one of Britain’s most iconic pop acts.”

Tickets for Madness at the Eden Project on Saturday July 12, 2025 cost £56 plus a £7.30 booking fee and are available through www.edensessions.com.

Tickets are now on sale to Inside Track pass-holders. The general ticket sale is at 2.30pm on Wednesday December 4, 2024.

Madness are the third act to be announced for the 2025 Eden Sessions. Already confirmed shows for next summer’s Sessions are Gary Barlow (June 18) and The Script (June 25). More artists will be announced soon.

In September 2019 the Eden Project and global live events company AEG Presents announced a new partnership, Eden Sessions Ltd, to run the Eden Sessions.
