Across the Eden site the hunt for 60 hidden golden keys is on. Each key unlocks an Easter prize with a couple of egg-stra special rewards up for grabs too.
Activity packs available on arrival are stuffed with treats, activities and adventures to encourage little ones to explore the great outdoors in and around Eden’s famous Biomes.
Around the Stage and Arena, families are finding a range of spring-themed games, as well as drop-in craft sessions from 11am – 4pm. There is also gofindit, an outdoor scavenger hunt created by the Sensory Trust that invites participants to use all their senses.
The fun continues with daily storytelling at 11am, 1pm and 3pm in the Mediterranean Biome’s Citrus Grove as well as a site-wide Spring into Colour trail that takes in some favourite spring plants from around the world.
Of course, Easter isn’t complete without the Easter Bunny. Visitors are joining Hopkins (aka the Easter Bunny) and Mi-Shell de Oeuf on a quest to save Easter in the pre-bookable tipi show Operation Egg Hunt.
The interactive family show, presented by the award-winning Bakehouse Factory, takes eggsplorers on a code-cracking, clue-solving journey. Audience members are invited to wear bunny ear headsets to immerse themselves into Hopkins’ dreams to help solve the mystery of the lost eggs.
Operation Egg Hunt includes relaxed performances that have a reduced capacity and do not use flashing lights or loud or sudden noises.
Tickets to the 40-minute tipi show are £5 per person and can be booked via the Eden Project website.
Kate Francis, Producer with Eden Live Productions, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many visitors already enjoying the fortnight of events and activities here at Eden. It’s always an exciting time of year as the weather starts to warm up and the whole place starts to buzz with the sights, sounds and smells of spring.”
