Now - Sept 4

This summer, as well as building dens, kids will be able to learn about all sorts of essential survival skills such as knot tying and even making fire from friction. There’ll also be family trails and an orienteering challenge, kite making workshops and a magical undercover woodland clearing to explore.

And if you need to take a break from all that hectic activity why not have a snooze in one of the hammocks you’ll find dotted around or relax in our beautiful tipi full of bean bags.

We’ll have a fire pit in the arena from August 1 where you can try some yummy traditional campfire food. We’ll also be open until 8pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from July 20 – September 4 with reduced admission and kids FREE after 4.30pm.

Ben Cook ExhibitionExhibition: Sustainability in Surfing installation
Now - September 4

A 1960 VW Westfalia camper with surfboards and wetsuits will take its place among the exotic plants of the Mediterranean Biome this summer.

The striking artwork is by acclaimed artist Ben Cook and underlines the fact that many surf-related objects are non bio-degradable and toxic to the marine environment. The exhibit is part of a larger on-site exhibition highlighting and exploring the blurred lines of sustainability in surfing.

Exhibition: Earthly Delights by Trevor Ashby

10 Sept – 1 Dec

An exhibition of high quality, hand-printed and toned black and white photographs using plant material gathered from Eden’s Biomes.

Trevor lives close to Eden and is fascinated with the structures of fallen leaves on the paths around the Biomes. The images are beautifully crafted, carefully designed and resolutely executed. There is a strong sense of design, a sense of order in the natural world which makes the unfamiliar familiar. These compelling images have sense of beauty and voluptuousness that transforms the decay of organic materials. The commonplace is appreciated for their exquisite shapes, patterns and textures and strong sense of composition.
