Local community initiatives

Situated in the heart of Cornwall, the Eden Project is not only a major attraction that has helped draw tourists to the county, but a unique place which brings local people together for all sorts of charitable causes.

“ If we could build this place, in a former clay pit, surely together we can all take on even bigger challenges… ”

Cornwall's 'village hall'

Did you know?

Since the Eden Project opened in 2001 it has generated more than £2 billion for the regional economy.

We like to think of ourselves as Cornwall’s ‘village hall’, a venue where people from all walks of life can come together to support local campaigns for good.

As well as providing opportunities for local families to connect with each other and nature through Deep Roots New Shoots, plus health and wellbeing activities through Nature’s Way, we support and provide the venue for regular fundraising events, including Cornwall’s Christmas Fair, Sleep Out, and the Eden Marathon
